Cego multipoint door locks are commonly known as Zenith, Bowater or Staybrite locks. The Cego multipoint door locks are now discontinued and are no longer available through TSSPRO but are still commonly found in doors today. Below we have a guide to the replacement gearboxes, a guide on how to change the hook boxes and a guide on how to reverse the latch of the centre gearbox.

Original Latch and Deadbolt

The Cego lock case is easily identifiable from the positioning of the euro cut out which is almost halfway up the case. Depending on the date of manufacture the latch and deadbolt will be either grey or brass in colour. This lock is also known as Zenith, Bowater or Staybrite -Please note that some Staybrite versions have a different connector and will not interchange with a CEGOCASE35

Hook Cases

The Cego hook cases are no longer produced however a replacement shell can still be purchased. The main problem with the hook cases is the weak Mozak material used on the outer shell, this often cracks or breaks causing the hook to stop working.

Use the existing hook, drive gear and cover in conjunction with a new shell to get the case working again.
