At TSSPRO we are constantly adding new products to our range. More multipoint gearboxes are available than ever and the purpose of this guide is to highlight some of the most interesting.

Gearboxes are the most likely point of failure on a multipoint lock and they are the area most likely damaged when forced. Often, replacing the gearbox can give a multipoint lock many more years of service.

You can find our entire range of gearboxes here!

1. A gearbox swap on most locks, takes a few minutes, and normally requires only a few screws.

2. Gearboxes are often less than half the price of a full lock.

3. They are much more convenient to transport than a full lock and can easily be stored on the van.

4. One gearbox can fit hundreds of different multipoint locks from the same manufacturer.

5. Gearboxes are now available to repair old locks, which are no longer made.

It’s worth noting that manufacturers don’t recommend replacing gearboxes and won’t warrant them once fitted to an old strip. Nevertheless, they have proved to be incredibly popular.
